Sometimes we can forget that face paint is supposed to be fun. We get caught up creating beautiful works of art on the forehead, and forget that the whole face is our canvas.
And what a magical canvas it is! Not a flat canvas, but a 3D one, with muscles that move. This gives us scope to create some really fun and playful designs for our clients to enjoy!
Want to know how to get your designs to move?
Margi Stanley will show you how!
Part 1 (Thursday 6th March)
Margi will share her ability to break down the elements of simple cartooning, as well as placement, so that you can get the ultimate animation out of your face painting designs. You’ll learn the tips and tricks that Margi uses to create fast yet effective characters and masks for busy events.
Part 2 (Wednesday 12th March)
Margi will demonstrate her use of Mark Reid’s long liner brush. You’ll learn how to use the brush to create geometric patterns that stretch around the forehead and eyes to create fun fast masterpieces. Margi will also show you how simple stencils can fill dead space to highlight and balance your design.
‘Don’t be afraid of your long liner brush. Embrace the challenge and bring out a new facet of your work!’ Margi Stanley
